Terms & Conditions of Sale

Ordering:  The description and price of your piece/s will be given to you.  You are required to check the description and price.  By returning your prints, order, form and payment you are deemed to have accepted these T&C’s.  If you would like a copy of these T&C’s, please request one via email (fran@lillylocket.co.uk).

Payment:  Payment for your jewellery is upon order due to the bespoke nature of the piece/s. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, bank transfer or via PayPal.  Production will not commence until receipt of cleared funds.

Please make cheques payable to “Frances Lilly”.

Bank details for transfers:  NatWest Bank, Sort Code:  56-00-09, Account No: 36963887.

Cooling Off Period/Cancellation:  The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 state ’The cooling off and right to cancel, do not, however apply to contracts for the sale of the following goods:

Goods made to the Consumers specification (these are known as Bespoke Goods)’.

Therefore, whilst I do not have to accept cancellations, as a gesture of goodwill, the following cancellation policy applies:

  • Orders cancelled prior to a print being taken or pack dispatch by any means will be refunded fully
  • Orders cancelled once a print has been taken or print pack dispatched by any means, will be subject to a £10 cancellation charge payable via PayPal which covers the cost of the print pack, postage and administration
  • If you have returned your print pack and/or I have started working on your order, the order cannot be cancelled and will not be refunded.

Changes to orders:  As your order is a handmade bespoke piece, in most circumstances, unless you contact me immediately, it is not possible to make changes to your order once I have started production.

Production:  I will work from prints provided by you.  You are responsible for ensuring that print pack instructions are followed correctly during the print taking process.  You can select preferred print/s to be used during production, however I will use an alternative print if deemed necessary.  I will make every attempt to ensure that print stamps are identical to the prints provided, however in some cases, especially very small pieces, detail can be lost in the stamp making process.  You will be required to sign off your piece- detailed photographs will be emailed at certain stages of production, and will require written sign off.  Final sign off will be required, in writing, prior to your piece/s being fired.  After firing, there is a limit as to what can be done to alter or change anything, therefore it is absolutely imperative that you are happy with your piece prior to firing, after which you cannot make any subsequent claims for the goods not being to your satisfaction or liking.  There will have been the stages detailed above prior to firing on which to raise such claims.

Delivery:  The estimated date of delivery will be 21 days from receipt of prints unless a) an alternative date of delivery is discussed during the ordering process, b) during seasonal peaks, c) during school holidays,  or d) The Goods require hallmarking which could add an additional two weeks to delivery date.  I will not have any liability for a failure beyond my reasonable control to deliver by the estimated date of delivery.

The delivery cost is not included in the purchase price.  Delivery will be made by a) Royal Mail Recorded Delivery (currently around £4.40).  This option has NO insurance, b) Royal Mail Special Delivery (currently £6.45) an insured service, c) for a £5 delivery charge within a 10 mile radius of S43 4HD, or d)  collection free of charge from S43 4HD.  Delivery charges are payable upon order.

Acceptance of Goods:  You must check your piece/s on delivery or collection.  You must inform me within 7 days of any damages or faulty goods.  No liability will be accepted for damaged or faulty goods after 7 days have passed.  This does not affect your statutory rights.

Jewellery Care:  You acknowledge that due to the purity of fine silver, .999 jewellery is softer than .925 sterling silver and therefore needs to be handled with special care.  Worn/used every day, your pieces may show signs of wear and tear and the detail may fade.  This is more likely with bracelet charms, rings and key rings which are more prone to being knocked around.  Any attachments supplied to compliment your piece/s (for example, but not limited to chains, bracelets and findings) will be .925 sterling silver.  Basic jewellery care will be included with each order and it is advised that the full care instructions (see FAQ’s) be read by The Buyer.

Returns & Refunds:  Your jewellery is bespoke and made to your specification, and as such, may be returned for a full refund only if faulty or personalisation details do not match those provided by you.  No refunds will be given simply because you do not like the finished item.

Photography & Copyright:  All pieces will be photographed for use by me.  All photographs taken remain my property and cannot be reproduced in any form without prior consent.  I may use any photographs taken of your piece/s for purposes such as, but not limited to, website, social media and marketing materials.  If you do not wish your photographed pieces to be used by me for marketing purposes, please opt out by emailing fran@lillylocket.co.uk .
